Stan Fortune
Wal-Mart District Loss Prevention manager
17 years

Stan Fortune, who is now working in Louisiana and Mississippi in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, worked for Wal-Mart for seventeen years, and managed several stores in four states.

Stan FortuneBefore joining Wal-Mart, Mr. Fortune was a police officer in Louisiana, with a background in loss prevention and investigation. As a privileged member of the Wal-Mart management team, Stan Fortune has been in a good position to know both the values of the company, and how Wal-Mart carries out day-to-day decisions in a wide number of areas, from loss prevention and internal security, to employee management and compensation.

He has been featured in many of America's top journals and newspapers, including Fortune magazine and the Wall Street Journal. Stan Fortune is the kind of man and the kind of expert that Wal-Mart wishes was not telling the world what he knows about the company.
